Russian
Kettlebells
A
kettlebell is a traditional Russian cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball
with a handle. Pavel Tsatsouline
was the pioneer who brought the kettlebell to the U.S. The foundation kettlebell
exercise is the “swing” where the body starts in a squat position
and the weight is swung backwards between the legs then thrust forward to chest
level. Kettlebells replace dumbbells, medicine balls, barbells, grip devices,
cardio equipment and so much more.
Benefits:
Develops all-purpose strength and flexibility and hacks off the fat. “With
kettlebells you get an aerobic and strength building, total body workout in 20
minutes,” says owner Diane Salettel.

Flexbands
The
Flex Band System was created by Dick
Hartzell in 1980. He searched for a safer way for his young athletes to gain
strength, speed, and power. The flexbands are easy on the joints and deliver a
variable resistance workout. Flexbands can be used for a wide range of specialized
fitness programs, from weight loss, injury prevention, to sport specific training.
Benefits:
Flexibility, increased vertical jump, injury protection and rehabilitation, and
increased explosive power.
